Headteacher appointed at Kakunyu School

We heard the good news today that a Headteacher has now been appointed at Kakunyu School.

Nalugemwa Ritah Madreeen graduated in February 2009 with a Bachelors’ degree in Guidance and Counseling from Kyambogo University.  Ritah worked with Worldvision Uganda a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) as a volunteer, and Research Assistant for one and half years.

From World Vision she joined Blessed Foster Family foundation, also an NGO, as a community counselor, counseling community members on HIV/AIDS, conducting educational talks in community schools and carrying on other activities.

In 2011 she joined Mother Angela Kindergarten where she acted as a school bursar and secretary.  Having studied rehabilitative counseling at University, she was especially interested in Children With Disabilities (CWDs) while doing her industrial training with USDC, and wanted to work with people with Special needs, so she decided to join us at Kakunyu School and she is now with us.
